Rather than considering each learning theory as mutually exclusive, the practitioner will likely gain a more complete picture of learning by exploring the assumptions of each theoretical category and determining which theory or combination of theories best meets the needs of the situation and the learner. In short, in an increasingly dynamic context with highly diverse student populations, educators can significantly increase effectiveness by expanding perspective and practice beyond methodological myopia to develop adaptive practices through methodological integration.
